I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We were nicely invited to spend time with the Leschhorn family and friends. We even got to see Dick of the Dinner Dogs. His last name? Leschhorn. We had a nice time and everything tasted really good. Two turkeys were cooked outside and one in the oven. There was homemade cranberry sauce, noodles and lots of wonderful deserts for afterward. On Sunday, we made the trek to college to take my son back and didn't we have wonderful weather? (Since the weather has been so nice, are we going to have a tough time adjusting to the winter cold?) There are lots of fun things to get you into the spirit of Christmas: There's the Tree of Lights at the Wayne County Humane Society for the animals. A great way to remember and honor your pet or family member. Tomorrow, Saturday, December 2 is 'Christmas Memories' Holiday Variety Show at Wayne Central High School Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7/adults and $5 for seniors/children. A holiday variety show filled with music, dancers, bagpipes and all proceeds go to two local charities. The school is at 6200 Ontario Center Rd. Being creative at the Kraft Shack: KID'S CHRISTMAS CLASS: Mon. Dec. 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Bring yourself or your kids to make this adorable snowmen blackboard to keep count of how many days before Christmas. $12 includes all. FIREPLACE WITH STOCKINGS: Thurs. Have you gone to the Apple Shed yet? They can shipp gift packs or you can pick up cider, baked goods, Village Candles, Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, Ann Clark cookie cutters, dried flower wreaths and arrangements and wood crafts. The Apple Shed is a great place to do your gift shopping. To make sure you don't get stressed too much over the Christmas season, try to do some things a little at a time. Don't wait till December 20 to do your wrapping and cards. The moment December l comes (which is TODAY!), you can begin writing out your cards. Take the kids' photo and have it developed early. Have the kids make out their Christmas lists. The libraries are filled with Christmas books for kids young and old. Even adults like to read Christmas stories and there are many to chose from. Turn on the Christmas cds while you are decorating. Have a great week and enjoy each other's company. Have fun and deck those halls! Copyright
