Car found in canal at Lyons Dry Docks
Early Thursday morning, the Lyons Fire Department was called to the NYS Dry Docks by Wayne County Sheriff's Dept. This followed a report that a car was seen floating upside down in the canal. That section of the Erie Canal had recently been drained. Firefighters launched an inflatable boat and determined that the empty vehicle, stolen out of Ontario County, had been in the canal for a period of time.
