Music abounds in Lyons schools Music will abound in the Earl Buchanan Auditorium of the Lyons Middle/High School in Lyons. Monday, December 11, the Middle and High School Choruses and Vocal Jazz Ensemble will present their Winter Concert beginning at 7 p.m. December 18, the music will begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium with Lyons alumnus Nick Brown playing holiday favorites on the piano and Lyons sophomore Jinny Chang on classical guitar. While musical selections are floating forth from the auditorium, the Music Boosters will be taking donations for the renovations of the Steinway Grand Piano, a project that Nick researched while he was a senior at Lyons. A CD of Brown's 2006, piano recital, 'American Music of the 20's and 30's' will be given to all who donate at least $15. Preceding both concerts the Lyons Art Club and the Lyons Class of 2009 will be selling various arts and crafts, and knit mittens, hats, gloves, infant mittens, and slippers. Copyright
