North Rose Lions introduce EMT-ALERT

Time and information are crucial in ensuring the best treatment in a medical emergency at home.

North Rose Lions Club is making available to area Fire Departments 'EMT ALERT' kits. In this kit, people fill out a form with all necessary information such as, Name, date of birth, physicians' name, medical insurance information, medical conditions, allergies, etc. After the form is filled out, place it in a plastic bag that attaches to the front of the refrigerator. An orange sticker is placed on outside doors to alert emergency personnel to it.

Retired EMS volunteer and Lion Crystal Jewell says it's vital to have this information immediately during a crisis. If someone is unresponsive, it will help in the treatment of a patient.

The more info available for EMS personnel at this time the better.

North Rose Lions have devoted many hours contacting fire departments to develop a form to assist EMS personnel in gathering the correct information necessary for an emergency. Many hours were devoted to gathering the necessary supplies for this kit.

These kits are available by contacting your fire department or North Rose Lions.
