Underground Railroad and quilts

Sharon Lubitow will be the guest speaker at the Thursday, December 14, Quarterly Meeting of the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society. The event is set for 7:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served.

Members and friends are welcome to attend. The Museum is located at 220 High Street and is decorated for the holiday season.

Lubitow's program is entitled Pointing The Way: The Underground Railroad with Quilt References. She will help solve some of the mysteries regarding the Underground Railroad movement, and the crucial part that quilts played.
