Reds top Blue Devils; first time since 1983

The Boys Varsity Swim Team defeated Victor last week for the first time in 23 years. Winning by a score of 103-82, the swim team had many lifetime best performances. The teams depth made the difference as all the swimmers contributed to the win. It was swimmers scoring many second, third fourth and fifth places that sealed the win.

Newarks medley relay team of Ryan Hughes, Sid Pruitt, Brandon Moynihan and Scott Diamond led off the night with an exciting win. Jacob Kline set two pool records in winning the 50 free and 100 free. Other event winners were Ryan Hughes in the 100 fly, Jacob DeVolder in the 500 free, and Thomas Van Duyne in the 100 breast.

The teams record is now 2-1. The next home meet is Thursday December 21 vs. Geneva at 6 p.m.

Congratulations on an outstanding achievement!
