Lyons Scout Troop 215 news

The Lyons Junior Girl Scouts from Troop 215 completed 6 of the 10 activities required to receive their 'Collecting' Hobbies Junior Badge. They had to organize, write, and be an expert about their collections. They then shared their collections at a Hobby Fair held at their bi-monthly meeting.

The collections included: American Girl Mini Dolls, homemade toothpick dolls, Build-A-Bear animals, porcelain dolls, beaded bracelets & necklaces, Disney pins, glass animals, postcards from around the world, bouncy balls, and porcelain birthday girl figurines.

The last activity to complete the badge was the 'Collection' of food the girls brought, which was donated to the Lyons food pantry.

As third-year Junior Girl Scouts, the girls each take a turn running the meeting and deciding on what activity to do or badge to work on. Alexis Smith decided on this badge and ran this meeting. The girls had a fun evening learning more about their sister girl scouts and the fun things they collect.
