Scouts sing at Lyons tree lighting

The Lyons village tree lighting ceremony was held at The Lyons Community Center. The Girl Scouts sang Christmas carols and decorated the tree with ornaments made by the Girl Scouts.

With Santa's grand arrival by fire truck the festivities continued inside the community center. The jolly elf had a grand chair and fireplace for pictures to be taken. Faces were painted, popcorn was popped, cookies were frosted, and crafts were made.

Participating were Daisy Troop #829, Brownie Troops #112 and #440, Junior Troops #2049 and #215.
