Festival of Trees at County home

Marion Historian Carolyn Adriaansen visited the Wayne County Nursing Home Festival of Trees.

She managed to find several creative decorative themes, including on that focused on The Red Hat Society (of which she is a member). Another tree donned gingerbread men, and one was adorned with photographs.

The 2006 AVSO Christmas Tree was given by the American Veterans Support Organization in honor of Wayne County Nursing Home residents who have served in the military.

Trees on display were donated to be sold on a 'silent auction' or loaned for the holiday season. Proceeds benefit the Residents Fund.
