 Sarah C. Boerman, of 8398 Ridge Chapel Road, made the fall quarter Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology. A first year student in the School of Print Media, Sarah is studying New Media Publishing. The daughter of David and Ann Boerman is a 2006 Marion graduate.

The Marion Historic Association will meet Tuesday, January 16 at 7 p.m. at the Marion Municipal Building. We will be filling in the offices of the association for the 2007. If you have questions, call 926.4436.

January 6, 1939 ... Third grade notes: Our grade had a happy vacation. Many of us found skates and sleds under the Christmas tree, which we have made good use of. The third grade wishes everyone a Happy New Year.

We enjoyed the singing of our Boy and Girl Scout carolers.

January 8, 1916: The Newark and Marion Railway coach suffered an injury last week which made necessary the carrying of travelers in a box car.

'God created company so the house would get cleaned.'
