Daffodils will arrive March 20, spreading the message from the American Cancer Society. Bunches of 10 cost $10, and the popular pot of flowers is also $10. Call me to order a Gift of Hope.

Marion High School senior Brent Bushart sustained a compound fracture of the lower right arm during a wrestling match, at Marion. He is the son of Brent and Kelly Bushart.

Caroline Bushart is at the Blossom View Nursing Home, in Sodus, for rehab services.

The American Legion will have a roast beef supper next Friday, Feb. 10.

Please drop off your used cell phones and empty ink cartridges at Shurfine or the Marion pharmacy. They are sent to Operation Gratitude and in return they will send money to purchase packages for men and women serving over seas. This request is from Donna Prentice, Marion Auxiliary Unit #1430, National Security Chairman.

Early Marion history - Down Mill Street, was the blacksmith of the Curtis Brothers, Brainard and James, here also was a wagon repair shop, further on was Marion Roller Mills where flour was manufactured from wheat and grists were ground for the farmers around the town.
