Trees, tree care at Newark Library

It's winter again ... cold and snow have returned with a vengeance, but it is still gardening season for those who love to grow things.

Perusing gardening catalogs for new flowers, trees, and shrubs is a warming thing to do on a winter evening; planning and dreaming about gardens for this spring and summer.

The first of the Newark Library Garden Forums will be held Thursday, February 16 in the Community Room at the library, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Trees and Tree Care will be the topic, with experts Leo Kamalsky, Tom Wilson, and Jamey Gerenski from Edgewood Nursery talking about selecting, pruning and caring for the trees in your home landscape. Join us for an interesting, fun and warm evening while the snow flies outside.

There will be a wealth of information and ideas offered, and the library will be updating and expanding the collection of gardening related materials through suggestions and ideas generated by these progams. Prior registration is requested but not required, call the library for more information.
