Minority Health Group meets tonight in Williamson A special meeting focusing on minority health care needs in Wayne County is scheduled for Monday, February 13, at 7 p.m. in the Upper Room Family Worship Center at 6445 Redman Road in Williamson, south of Route 104. The group, sponsored by Wayne County Rural Health Network, is open to anyone interested in sharing their experiences in getting health care in Wayne County. The information gathered will be used to design a county strategic plan to address minority health care needs in Wayne County. The Wayne County Rural Health Network has received a grant from the NYS DOH, Office of Minority Health to assess minority health care needs and develop ways to address unmet needs. The Rural Health Network, sponsored by Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, is a collaborative partnership of health and human service providers working together to increase access to needed services. The network plans, initiates, and implements innovative projects and programs to benefit the residents of Wayne County. To reserve a space in the focus group meeting, please call 483.3200.
