If you have lost a spouse...

If you have lost a spouse, you are probably experiencing a number of feelings, thoughts and emotions that are new to you. Having been part of a couple, you now have to deal with facing situations and making decisions by yourself. This can be a difficult time, and you may be feeling quite alone.

Many new widows and widowers have found help in coming together with others who are in a similar place to learn about the grieving process and to share their experience of loss.

Lifetime Care Hospice of Wayne and Seneca County is offering an opportunity for you to do this in a Surviving Spouses Support Group. Each session will provide an educational segment and a time to for support.

The group will meet for eight sessions (twice a month) beginning Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 7-8:30 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 400 South Main Street in Newark. There is no charge for the meetings.

For more information or to register, call Pat Fitzpatrick at 331.7990.
