Winter Lecture series in Newark

The 2006 Winter Lecture Series continues on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. as Barbara Meeks presents 'A Grand American Tour: Recounting the 12th Letter of A.J. Perkins, 1895.'

The program is free and will be held at the Newark-Arcadia Historical Museum, 120 High St., Newark.

Perkins was a member of the Charles H. Perkins family, co-founder of the world-famous rose company, Jackson & Perkins. The speaker is an active member of the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society and the Ontario County Genealogical Society.
