Stepping Stones support group meets Wednesday

When young people lose family members, classmates, friends or neighbors, they grieve deeply - not in the same way as adults, but with great feeling. 'Stepping Stones' will be meeting at St. Michael School in Newark, Wednesday evenings beginning March 1. The sessions run from 6:45 to 8 p.m.

Hospice of Wayne & Seneca Counties is offering 'Stepping Stones,' bereavement support group for children and youths who have experienced the death of loved ones, and for the adults who care for these children.

'Stepping Stones' brings young people together in groups with others of their own age bracket. While they meet in one place, the adults meet in a nearby room for their own support discussion.

There is no charge for this eight-week non-denominational program, offered by Lifetime Care Hospice as part of its bereavement services to the community.

Pre-registration is required. Please call Pat Fitzpatrick, Coordinator of Bereavement Services at 331.7990 or 800.561.1650 to register or to request information.

Hospice of Wayne & Seneca Counties is a service of Lifetime Care, which provides healthcare services to adults and children at home and in home-like settings, with offices in Newark, Rochester and Geneseo.
