 REMEMBER WHEN - No one ever asked where the car keys were because they were always in the car, in the ignition, and the doors were never locked ?

Congratulations to the Wayne Co. Basketball Player of the Week - Deanna Nortier.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - Our buffet, on New Year's Day, included family favorites and the traditional Dutch, Groene Boontjes.

JANUARY 6, 1939 - Second Grade News - After a happy vacation we were all back on Tuesday morning. We have started our study of 'Winter Birds.' This week we are learning about the habits of the Nuthatch, and how he helps the farmers. We wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Roast Beef Dinner at the Marion American Legion Home on Friday, January 13 beginning at 5 p.m. Served family style with refills upon request. Bring your friends and enjoy a chat while having a mouth-watering meal.

In the 1940's, country school teacher, Mary Hermanet, had 32 students in all eight grades, in all subjects.

Firemen are having a breakfast Jan. 8 at the fire hall. Stop in and enjoy.
