A garden forum at Newark library It may be cold, wet or snowy outside, but it is still gardening season for those who love to grow things Seed catalogs fill the mailboxes, planning for and dreaming of gardens to come fill heads. New varieties of plants and trees are developed constantly, and heirloom varieties rediscovered. There is such satisfaction to gardening; creating garden rooms, pruning trees, making your home landscape appealing and inviting - a place to retreat from the world. The Newark Public Library is introducing a Garden Forum to be held each of the winter months, beginning in February. There are many interesting speakers to be hosted; professionals from the area who are willing to share their expertise, and the library has a wide variety of gardening programs in the planning stages. There will be much information and many ideas offered, and the library will be updating and expanding the collection of gardening related materials through suggestions and ideas generated by these programs.
