Tax assistance available for seniors Tax season is coming ... have you had your taxes prepared yet? Perhaps you can't afford to have them done. RSVP has trained volunteer tax counselors who are available to assist seniors with their tax returns at no charge. Tax counselors are available in Newark, Lyons, Palmyra, Macedon, Wolcott, Clyde, Ontario and Sodus. Call 946.7530 to make an appointment at a location near you. The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is sponsored by Wayne County Action Program, and funded by Corporation for National and Community Service and NYS Office for the Aging.
