Are you knitting alone?

Do you enjoy knitting and crocheting? How about joining other knitters at Alex Eligh Community Center in Newark and visit while you knit? Come and have some fun making lap blankets, hats, and mittens for others in your community.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is looking for volunteers to make knitted items at the center on Tuesdays for a couple of hours. This is an exciting way to meet new people. Come join other volunteers who are making a difference and passing the time with friends as they knit and crochet together.

RSVP has a variety of interests to offer individuals, 55 and older in Wayne, Ontario, and Seneca counties. To volunteer, contact Debbie Farnsworth, Senior Services Coordinator at 315.946.7530.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is sponsored by Wayne County Action Program, Inc., and funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service and the N.Y.S. Office for the Aging.
