Peppermint Porch contest winners

The judging is finished and the winners of the Peppermint Porch Contest, sponsored by the Lyons Civic Club, Inc. are:

• First place, Karen and Matt Killips, 47 Cherry Street ($50 prize);
• Second place, Rachel Jones, 165 Canal Street ($25);
• Third place, Doris Greco, 16 Montezuma Street ($15);

and People's Choice Award, Rachel Jones, 165 Canal Street.

Winners also receive plaques that can be affixed to their homes, indicating participation and their winning place.

The Civic Club thanks all who decorated their porches for the contest; the Lyons National Bank, Loson's Big M, and Dobbins Drug Store for their help with the Peoples Choice Voting procedure; and the judges for their hard work.
