Public Hearing set on County salaries

This year's salaries for certain Wayne County Department heads are set. The pay raises are subject to permissive referendum, which means the public has a right to petition for a vote. (Not all department heads are included in that provision, only those listed here.) The salaries will be retroactive to January.

The County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the second floor Chambers at the old County Courthouse.

• County Coroner Dr. David Hannan - $34,119  
• Comm. of Social Services Josh McCrossen - $76,789  
• County Administrator (Vacant) - $84,872  
• County Attorney Dan Wyner - $81,703  
• Public Defender Ron Valentine - $77537  
• Part-time Fire Coordinator Rick Bond - $24,872  
• Director of Real Property Bob Diener - $63,697  
• Personnel Officer Pete Stirpe - $69,667  
• Superintendent of Highways Jim Brady - $68,188  
• Sheriff Richard Pisciotti - $79,167
