Go Wireless at the Lyons Library The Lyons Public Library is reaching out and joining other Wayne County libraries by offering wireless Internet access. Wireless access 'hotspots' enable patrons with laptops, PDA's and some cell phones to surf the web on their own device while in the library. These hotspots are part of a growing trend to add convenience to peoples' lives and put information at their fingertips. For many years, patrons have asked for improved Internet access, from canal travelers in the summer and business people just passing through, to local residents who prefer the ease of using their own Internet devices. Wireless access will reduce wait time for public access computer terminals by enabling patrons to connect to the Internet with their own wireless devices. To try out the new 'hotspot' in town, bring your OWWL library card and laptop. Or, if you are just passing through the area, stop in for a guest pass. Call 946.9262, or visit Monday & Wednesday 11 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday & Thursday noon to 8:30, Friday 11 to 5, Saturday 9 to noon. Copyright
