Post offices in Lyons, Walworth, Williamson, Wolcott and Clifton Springs have earned a five-star rating as part of the Postal Service's 5 Star Customer Service Program.

Ratings are compiled quarterly by the Gallup Organization. Of the 870 winning Post Offices across the country, 73 are located in the Western New York District.

Postal Services Western NY District Manager David Patterson said: 'Winning the inaugural 5-Star Customer Service award proves our employees are second to none, when it comes to delivering service. It's all about the customer. Customers entering 5 Star Post Offices will know it too. Each office earning the 5 Star ranking will receive a sign for its door.'

'Not all post offices in Wayne County had enough data to receive a score,' said Patterson, who explained that a minimum of 10 responses to the Gallup surveys per ZIP Code is needed for consideration as a 5 Star office.

'We've always provided excellent service,' Patterson explained. 'Now we've got the stars to back it up.'

The Postal Service's Western New York District reaches thee million postal customers served by 366 Post Offices in a 12,300 sq.-mile radius. The Western New York District is one of 11 districts nationwide - there are 80 districts - to earn district wide honors.
