Order 'Food Sense' for August Is your family trying to figure out a way to cut costs and stretch every penny? Food Sense might be the answer for you and your family. Food Sense is available to everyone everywhere. You don't have to live in Newark to purchase food from Food Sense. Food Sense offers the opportunity to stretch your food budget by purchasing quality food at a discount. Everyone is eligible to purchase food from Food Sense. No donated food is used in this program. It's a buying club - so, there is no income requirement. The cost per unit is $15.50 and this includes 10-14 food items including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and grocery staples. Additional specials are available for an additional cost. In addition, if you are a shut in or cormpletely unable to pickup food due to age, disability, or an on-going transportation issue, Newark Rotary has a solution! We can now deliver to people that have a need for this service. Please call us to and find out more details. Order dates for the August delivery will be as follows: Monday-Friday from 8 to 4 up to August 14 at 10 a.m. Ordering will take place at Excel Staffing, 165 East Union Street, Newark, on the 3rd floor. Cash, Money Orders, Food Stamps and Vouchers are accepted.
