Pulp painting unveiling this week

Visit Community Bank N.A, 710 W. Miller St. in Newark, for the unveiling of an Erie Canal Pulp Painting created by Kelley Intermediate School 4th Grade Students from the Newark Central School District and Ruth Vaughan, Papermaking Artist from Springwater.

This event will be from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday June 8. The students, their parents and the artist will be present.

The public is invited to see this original artwork, copied from a postcard of the Erie Canal, and made from paper pulp with the help of Vaughan.

The project was sponsored by Young Audiences of Rochester.
