Happenings 'Now I lay me down to rest, A pile of books upon my chest, If I should die before I wake, That's one less test I'll have to take.' HELP! - I've had a request for kitchen utensils & things for the Victim Resource Center to help abused women. The Marion Senior Citizens met on May 23 at the Fire Hall. President Bob Marion told members that he was resigning after 10 years as President. The newly elected President is Anne Marion, Secretary is Arlene DiSanto, and Treasurer Isabelle Bushart. Seniors will meet the fourth Tuesday of each month - next meeting will be June 27 at 1 p.m. at the Yellow Mills Restaurant. All are welcome - if you need a ride, please call 926.4494. Krystal Adriaansen, daughter of Kevin and Michelle Adriaansen of 4627 Smith Road, made the Dean's list with a 4.0 at RIT. Krystal is majoring in biology. If the summer heat is getting too much, head for the hills - for every one-thousand feet of altitude, the temperature drops about four degrees. Kevin and Michelle Adriaansen hosted the 16th annual Johnson family reunion on June 11. Family members came from as far as Virginia Beach, Florida and Ithaca. Everyone enjoyed swimming and of course, eating. Doug Ververs of Hannibal was named executive director of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga Co. His office is in Auburn. He is the son of Pearl and Henry Ververs and he's a graduate of Marion High School. Friends and neighbors are invited to an 'Open House' for Isabelle Bushart on the occasion of her 80th Birthday. The celebration will be held at Second Reformed Church on June 24, from 2 to 4. June 19 - 6th grade Field Days and Graduation at 7 p.m. June 20 - Marion Elementary School Picnic Day June 21 - Marion Elementary School Moving-on Day. Elementary dismissal at 11:30 a.m. June 23 - Marion Senior Class breakfast at 8 a.m. Commencement Rehearsal at 8:30 a.m. Commencement exercises at 7:30 p.m. (admission by ticket only) and Senior Bash following.
