Drive to feed a child

How would you like to make a difference to a child by driving? Drivers are needed in the Newark area for the Summer Feeding Program. A few hours a week is all that is needed from 10:30 to 12:30 starting July 5 through August 31. Are you available to help feed a child over the summer?

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is inviting you to help deliver food five mornings a week to three different sites: Driving Park, Wind Song Terrace, and Kelley Intermediate School. Some lifting is involved.

If you are 55 years of age or older, interested in driving for the Summer Feeding Program, please contact Debbie Farnsworth, Senior Services Coordinator at 946.7530. If you have other interests or skills, please call for more information.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is sponsored by Wayne County Action Program and funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service and the N.Y.S. Office for the Aging.
