Reading programs at Lyons Library

This summer the Lyons Public Library is sponsoring a book discussion club for children in grades 4 and up on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. through the end of July. The first book to be discussed is James and the Giant Peach. Short excerpts will be read aloud from the book as the discussion takes place. Children are encouraged to come even if they haven't read the book. Those attending will also be encouraged to take part in the program that follows at 1:30 p.m. called Teens to Tots Reading. Older children and adults will take turns reading to younger children in a storyhour setting. Both programs are free and open to the public.

For more information call the library at 946.9262.
