Sodus Library Books Sandwiched In Monday

Stephen Heald, lifelong Sodus resident and antique car hobbyist, will review Alice's Drive, by Alice Ramsey, at the March 20 'Books Sandwiched In' at Sodus Free Library.

This is a story about the first female transcontinental automobile trip. Ramsey was 22 years old at the time and was driving a 1909 Maxwell automobile. She was accompanied by two sisters-in-law and a teenage girlfriend.

Heald and his wife own five Maxwell cars. (You may have seen them driving one of their Maxwells in a parade.) The cost for the review is $3, which includes lunch and dessert.

The luncheon is at noon, doors open at 11:45. Space is limited so sign up early, at the library, or call 483.9292. Mark your calendars for the next 'Books Sandwiched In' on April 17.
