Eureka Grange members meet Friday in Lyons

On March 24 at 7 p.m., Carolyn Adriaansen, Town of Marion Historian, will be the guest of Eureka Grange in Lyons. Her topic will be Sear, Roebuck and Company houses. These were sold in kit form to be built on site. There are a number of them in the area. A Sears house on Harris Road, Lyons, is still visible although it has suffered a fire and has been empty for many years.

The evening starts with a pot-luck supper at 6. Please bring a dish to pass and table service. Drinks will be furnished. The public is invited to the supper and program .

Isabelle Jensen, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County, will be the guest on April 28. 'Who Will Get Grandma's Yellow Pie Plate?' is the topic. Her program will provide guidelines for passing on your cherished heirlooms. This important topic is open to the public.

If you have questions about these programs or Eureka Grange, call 946.4379.
