Museum seeks donations The new exhibit at the Newark-Arcadia Historical Museum will focus on Transportation in Newark & Arcadia. 2006 is the 100th anniversary of both the Mora Motor Car Co., and the opening of the Rochester, Syracuse & Eastern (RS & E) Trolley in Newark. Both will be featured in the new exhibit, along with other forms of transportation in this area. Artifacts pertaining to the following transportation-related subjects are needed (loans and donations): Mora Motor Car Co. (located in the Hallagan Mfg. Co. building on Hoffman St.), the R.S. & E. Trolley (office and repair barns on Wood Lane), as well as Railroads, Newark Airport, Erie Canal, Bicycles, and Automobile-related businesses (repair shops, filling stations and dealerships). Also of interest is an early 1900s bicycle (or 'wheel' as they were called). Photographs on these subjects are always of great interest. The 2006-7 exhibit will have a Grand Opening Newarkfest weekend, June 9-11. Call the museum if you'd like to consider loaning, or donating, items for this exhibit, 331.6409. Copyright
