Newark-Arcadia Historical plans dinner
By John Zornow

The Newark Elks Club on South Main St. in Newark has been chosen as the site of the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society annual dinner.

Save this date, Thursday evening, April 20, and make reservations for this event which will start with a happy hour at 6 p.m. and a delicious Newark Elks Buffet Dinner at 7 p.m. You do not have to be a member to attend the dinner. Tickets are only $16.00 per person.

After a short business meeting and election of board members, a very timely and interesting program will follow. As 2006 is the 100th anniversary of the Rochester-Syracuse & Eastern Electric trolley, it is fitting that local trolley expert Sheldon King be invited to talk about Newark's wonderful trolley history.

Call the Newark-Arcadia museum (331.6409) for more details on this historical event.
