March 24, 1939: Two future farmers of Marion have entered the chick raising contest sponsored by the Official Poultry Breeders of New York State. The contest includes the chick raising from day old chicks to the laying age. Those making entries are Eugene Miller and Howard Boise, who are brooding 300 and 600 chicks, respectively.
