Seeking photos of Lyons

The Lyons Civic Club has begun work writing text and compiling pictures for the Lyons Pictorial History book that will be released later this year. This limited edition will give an extensive photographic account of the history of Lyons.

The Club is requesting pictures of the one-room school houses, group class photos, and pictures that portray groups of people shown at social gatherings, dedications or political functions, record hops, church socials, local theater or musical productions, fairs, circuses, carnivals, etc. Original photographs, not photocopies, are needed for quality printing.

Photographs will be scanned and the original photo will be returned to the owner immediately. The Club is also using scanned images to build the Lyons Image Bank.
