Support group in Newark for brain injuries

A support group for persons with brain injury has been established in Wayne County, where adults over the age of 18 are welcome and understood.

The group embraces all adult persons with a TBI, family members, and caregivers who wish to participate in a discussion group where they will help sort out issues, socialize, and share goals, dreams and ideas.

The mission of the support group is to 'Keep HOPE Alive' for persons with TBI.

The group meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at the Hickok Center for Brain Injury, 165 East Union St., Newark. Call 483.4672 for more information. Next meeting is May 16.
