Happenings Congratulations to Brad Reiss who is an Athlete of the Week, honored by the Democrat and Chronicle. In a recent game, he went 9 for 12 with a home run, four runs batted in, and five stolen bases. Marion Senior Citizens are to meet May 23 at the Fire Hall. It is a dish-to-pass luncheon and everyone is invited to attend. The luncheon is at noon and there will be a discussion on the future plans of the group. 'To perk up a bouquet to keep your flowers alive longer, pour a glass of lemonade into the vase water.' THANKS to all of you who remembered my combination birthday and Mother's Day celebration on May 14. MAY 22, 1908 - Mrs. J. S. Nasmith, who has been with her husband in Canton, has opened her home in Marion, for the summer. United Church of Marion Chicken & Biscuits Dinner with homebaked pies will be held on Monday, May 22 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the church, 3848 North Main St. Take-outs available.
