Marion Memorial Day Parade With assistance and participation of Marion organizations and citizens, Marion Memorial Post 1430 of the American Legion will, in cooperation with the Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion, present the Memorial Day Parade. The parade will form in the Marion Fire Department parking lot prior to 11 a.m. on Monday, May 29. At 11 a.m. the first units will step off when the siren sounds. The route of march will be Mill St., to South Main St., to North Main Street to Cemetery Drive up to the Soldier's Monument. A short ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m. to 'Honor the Dead.' Then, there will be an additional ceremony behind the Chapel. An invitation is extended to all Military personnel (Active Duty and Veterans of all Wars and Conflicts) to participate.
