Marion Museum will be open at 9 a.m. on the morning of Memorial Day parade and services on May 29. Parade is at 11 a.m. Along with a military display, I will be showing my collection of mosquito houses. Carolyn Adriaansen - Marion Town Historian.

Jim Ververs graduated Sunday from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. Jim is the grandson of Pearl and Henry Ververs, who attended the graduation. He has been accepted to Virginia Commonwealth University to pursue a Ph.D. in Medical Physics.

Today, May 26, Elementary School Memorial Day Celebration at 1:20 p.m. at the Town Cemetery.

Tuesday, May 30 - Grades 7-12 Spring Chorus Concert at 7:30 p.m. at the High School.

June 2 - Grades K-4 Vocal Concert at 9:30 a.m. in the Elementary School Auditorium.

May 26 - East Palmyra Christian School Lap-A-Thon and Field Day.

June 2 - East Palmyra Christian School Pig Roast.

May 28, 1898 - There will be war view pictures at Institute Hall on Monday evening. Scenes from the fight at Manila and on the Cuban coast will be shown.
