Time to take down the ghosts, take the turkeys out of hiding to get ready for Thanksgiving. The kids can help with the festivities by making turkeys out of construction paper to hang on the refrigerator. Everything now is about the harvest and turkeys. It's also a fun time to share your memories of the day with the kids, like watching the Macy's day parade with your parents when you were little.

The libraries have a lot of fun movies and books to share while you're getting into the Thanksgiving spirit. Whether you are going away or having the feast at your house, Thanksgiving takes lots of preparation. I guess when you think about it, all holidays take a lot of preparation time. It's just that this one involves a very large bird.

Do you have fun Thanksgiving traditions to share ? Write to me at

I'd love to hear from you.

Have a great week and have fun with your families.
