Dear Dan - The leaves have been blowing around frantically and now I can see the steeple at the First Church.

Anyone interested in helping at the Marion Food Pantry may call Bill McAvaney, 926.5309. The pantry is open Thursday evening and Saturday morning. Your schedule can be accommodated - why not call today?

Alma Huber called from her home in Aiken, South Carolina, and will be sending some things from our area that will make a nice exhibit at the Marion Museum.

You might like to try this recipe, along with your traditional one, at your Thanksgiving dinner.

Pretzel Dressing

9 cups pretzels (1-10 oz. box pretzel sticks)
1 and 1/2 onions, chopped
2 sticks celery
3/4 cup butter
4 cups chicken broth
3/4 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. pepper

Put pretzels in 9x13 casserole dish. Brown onion and celery in butter. Pour this and the chicken broth over pretzels. Sprinkle with sage and pepper. Toss lightly. (you may choose to rinse the pretzels if they seem extra salty). 350 degrees - 1 hour

The Fire Department will be holding their special breakfast at the Fire Hall on November 12.

Art and Laura Tierson went to Binghamton to visit daughter Donna and Kyle Herrington and family. They watched grandson Luke play football in the playoffs.

'Happy Birthday' to Liz DeLyser on November 9 from her family and friends.

Aunt Alice Flass is presently undergoing rehabilitation at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
