Newark men fall off roof
By John Zornow

Newark volunteer firemen were called out at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday to provide a landing site for Mercy Flight. Firemen responded and immediately set up the landing zone at Perkins School on West Maple Avenue.

The call for Mercy Flight was precipitated because of injuries sustained by Luke Peters and Josh Whyte who, according to Newark Police arrived at a residence on Bartle Avenue in what appeared to be an intoxicated condition, and found themselves locked out of the house. The two men, both reported to be age 27, then obtained a ladder, and tried to access the residence from a roof through an upstairs window. Both men fell, and were transported by ambulance to the Perkins School landing zone, and eventually to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. No other information was available.
