Wayne Writers publishing a book

The Wayne Writers Guild is seeking 'G-rated' never-before-published material from area writers and 'wannabe' writers for their new publication. Release is slated for the spring of 2007.

The group published its first book, Town Life, in 2003 and the second, Beyond the Four Corners, in 2005. As with previous books, subjects will include life experiences, fiction, non-fiction, comedy, children's stories and poetry. Plans for the new book include a special section entitled, 'On the Road to Work,' and if prospective authors wish, they may create submissions specifically for this section.

Stories and essays should be 1000 words or less and poetry 100 words or less. A new feature this year is 'About the Authors' and anyone submitting pieces is asked to include a two or three-sentence biography.

Send two typed and double-spaced copies to:

Wayne Writers Guild, 3648 Parker Rd., Marion, 14505. Submissions should be received before January 15, 2007.

The publishers reserve the right to review and/or refuse material and to proofread and edit all submissions for grammar, spelling and punctuation. Those wishing their manuscripts returned should include an adequately stamped self-addressed envelope.

Wayne Writers Guild, which meets the second and fourth Tuesday each month, is seeking new members. For more information call 597.9658.
