Cops for Tots collecting in Newark

Newark police patrolmen's benevolent association is sponsoring 'Cops for Tots.' November and December they'll receive new, unwrapped toys to be given to children in the community.

Toy donation boxes will be placed in stores around town, or donations can be dropped off at the police department. Anyone wishing to help with cash donations, may send those or drop them off at Newark Police, 100 East Miller Street.

Cash donations help buy wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, bows, and additional gifts that may be needed for a particular age.

New this year, there will be food boxes for donations. These will be used to help some of the families in need.

If you know of a child in need this Christmas, send information (address, ages, boy or girl), or if you know of a family needing food this holiday, to Newark PBA, 100 East Miller Street.
