Newark teen killed in accident on Tellier Road

State Police are investigating a deadly accident that occurred Wednesday at 8:20 p.m. on Tellier Road, Town of Palmyra, when a car slammed into a tree.

Jessica N. Graham, 15, of North Main Street, Newark, a passenger, died as the result of head trauma. Graham was in the ninth grade at Newark High School.

This morning, school officials met as a crisis team, notified teachers and staff, and were prepared with grief counseling for Graham's fellow students.

The vehicle was driven by Joseph C. Lamb, 20, of Tellier Road, Newark. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, to be treated for internal injuries.

Passenger Beau Terwilliger, 19, of Newark, was taken to Newark-Wayne Hospital, treated and released.
