Enter Historical Society photo contest

Area photographers eagerly await the second annual 'A Day In The Life of Newark-Arcadia' photo contest. The Newark-Arcadia Historical Society is sponsoring the one day event again this year, to held on Saturday, October 14.

Entry forms will be available at the Newark-Arcadia Museum, and Newark Public Library, both located on High Street. Only photos taken on October 10 are to be considered.

Original 8 x 10 photos in either digital, or film format, black & white or color with or without a border, will be accepted in the following categories.

• Historic (over 50 years old)
• Scenic/Landscapes
• People/Animals
• Experimental/Artistic (miscellaneous)

Professional photographers and photo contest committee members may enter the contest on a non-competitive basis.

All photos will become the property of the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society and be added to their permanent collection.

There will be first, second, third place and honorable mention awards, and certificates of participation to all entrants.
