Lyons Farm Market this Saturday

October 14, at the Lyons Farmers' Market, 7:30 to 11 a.m., visit the Village Park for fresh baked goods, local produce and family entertainment.

Jim Murphy will regale you with his all-American medleys, accompanied on the keyboard. Plan ahead for the Halloween Costume contest on Oct. 21 by designing your creative outfit now.

There will also be an apple tasting at Angela Bliek's booth that morning.

October 28, the season closes with the 'Great Pumpkin' Contest. The largest pumpkin, by girth, will win a prize. Use up your WIC coupons by the end of the month by shopping at participating farmers' booths. Stock up on your favorite apples, pears and squash.
