Singers wanted in Lyons

Although the Lord created the world in six days, they are gathering a group in Lyons who are going to use seven Thursdays to prepare an Ecumenical Choir Fall Service.

Beginning September 7, they'll gather Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. to practice The Creation, A Rock Cantata, along with several other selections to round out a full service of music.

That service will be presented on Sunday, October 22, at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 11 Queen St., Lyons.

Singers from high school through adults are encouraged to make this journey together. Participants do not need to be affiliated with any church in Lyons. They need only the desire to join with others of faith in making music to His glory. People are encouraged to come, to invite friends, to invite neighbors.

The first rehearsal is at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 7 in the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of Broad and Queen Streets in Lyons. Those with questions may call Camille Clark, choir director, at 946.6806.
