Remembering 9/11 at Lyons church

Monday, September 11 marks the fifth anniversary of a day that few of us will forget: a day of great pain and sorrow for our nation.

The sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church will be open on September 11 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Folks are invited to stop by for a time of quiet reflection and prayer.

At noon, The Rev. Dr. Cynthia Huling Hummel, Pastor of the church and Chaplain of the Lyons Fire Department, will lead a brief ecumenical prayer service. Everyone is welcome.

The Presbyterian church is located at the corner of Queen Street and Broad Streets in Lyons and is handicapped accessible.
