Historical Society plans meeting, program

The next quarterly meeting of the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society will be Thursday, September 14, 7:30 p.m., at the Newark-Arcadia Museum, 120 High St. (across from the library).

Ed Varno, Director of the Ontario County Historical Society in Canandaigua, will present a slide-illustrated program, Horse-Drawn Transportation. All are welcome to attend.

The museum currently features a transportation exhibit, Wheels, Wings or Water - To Grandmother's House We Go (through April 1, 2007).

The museum is open Wednesdays, 7-9 p.m. (through Sept.) and Saturdays, 1-3 p.m. (year-round), and will be open during the N-AHS Historic House Tour on Sept. 16 (9-3). Admission is free.
